Frequently asked questions
Can cats be trained?
Absolutely! They’re different from dogs, though. Cats can’t be trained through negative reinforcement, like yelling at them. With positive reinforcement, they can be trained to do just about anything. Don’t believe us? Check this out.
Can bad behaviour be corrected?
Absolutely. With positive reinforcement, cats can be convinced to stop scratching furniture, jumping on counters, fighting with other pets and attacking their humans.
Can you fix all my cat’s bad habits?
We can generally help with most cases. With urination issues, we suggest first getting your fur baby checked by a vet for possible medical problems. If it’s too complex for us, we can refer you to a behaviouralist.
What does an appointment consist of?
We come to your home, meet your cat(s) and discuss their history and problems. Our trainer will create a program to follow to help remedy the issue and demonstrate it if possible. We’ll also follow up afterward to see if there’s been progression and offer any necessary advice.
Do you have to come to my home?
Treatment works best when we have a good sense of the cat’s living environment. Some problems can only be identified when we actually see where the cat is living.
How long is an appointment?
It depends on the complexity of the issue, but it generally takes between 60 and 90 minutes.
Where do you provide service?
We service much of the Greater Toronto Area. We can also provide phone or video consultations outside our normal service area. Please see our pricing list for exact costs on your location.
What sorts of payments do you accept?
We accept cash and Interac transfers.
